I think this is one of Houston's favorite Christmas presents. I found this great guitar that, in addition to the microphone, has at least a million buttons that play guitar sounds and drums and other special effects. Gee, I wonder how long it will be before I kick myself in the butt because I finally get sick of the noise. He's only had it for a few hours and I am already getting there. :) Oh well, he is having a blast.

Lorelei Number Three
Happy Birthday to Lorelei!! She is now three years old. I can't believe she is that old already!! I asked her what kind of cake she wanted and she said a pizza cake. It was a lot of fun to make. Although we did learn that if you don't eat it right away the candy gets soggy and kind of gross.
We haven't gotten around to watching to movie, but Lorelei does like her Oopsie Bear from the Johnson clan. She's been sleeping with it every night since she opened it.
It is taking some practice on her part to figure out how to play with a doll that's almost as big as she is, but she is loving it!

Raking Leaves
Brian got really sick of seeing all the leaves on the front lawn. And he was getting tired of the neighborhood kids offered to rake his leaves for money. After the pile was sufficiently big enough, nice guy that he can be, he let the kids play in them for a little while before he bagged them up.

Yummy In The Tummy!!!
This is Paisley's cake. Kay ordered both cakes from Alberton's where she works. Look close...the bakery thinks my daughter's name is Taisley. Tee Hee!!! Kay picked Tinkerbell since that is what I am putting up in the girls' room.
This is Houston's cake....because he loves cars!!
Here are the kids blowing out the candles. Lorelei was feeling left out of the cake part of th day so I told her that she could help Paisley blow her candle out.

It's A First
Brian and I were cleaning the kitchen the other day. I was putting something away in the freezer and pulled out the marshmallows to show Brian. They are a really yummy, limited addition, chocolate vanilla swirl. I was telling him that they made the best toasted marshmallows. Brian, to my complete dismay, said that never in his entire life has he ever made or eaten a toasted marshmallow. I told him that the bonus to having a gas stove is that you can toast marshmallows inside. So I made him one.
This is the "lovely" face he made as he was eating them. He said that they were really gross and he never wanted to eat a roasted marshmallow ever again.

It's The Great Pumpkin!!
Brian got home from the desert on October 24. On the 27 Houston had his first field trip. Since Brian was home in time he took my place on the trip. Houston was so excited! Not only about the field trip, but he also got to ride on the school bus for the very first time.
There were a few cut-outs for the kids to play around. Houston is the one of the end in the blue. The little blonde girl is one of friends, Taylor.

Belated Birthday
These pictures are a long time coming. Shortly after Brian returned from Iraq, we made a visit to Texas to see the Crow side of the family. I had told Kay months ago that if it worked out we would be there over Halloween. She asked if she could do something for the kids' birthdays. I figured it would just be pizza and cake at the house with Brian's sister Tammy and her family along with Kay and Robert. We were in for quite a surprise.
