Lorelei Update and the Bald Puppy

Here is Shiloh's new haircut. Silly me, I brushed her wrong over the winter and ended up matting her undercoat. Only way to fix it was to shave her. The really funny thing is that her big, "I'm gonna get you!" bark doesn't go with her body anymore.
Lorelei Update: We just found out that Brian has an aunt with Turner Syndrome. (His mom's sister). We have passed that information along to Lore's doctor (who has been out of town all week) hopefully we'll find out monday or tuesday if we are going to go ahead a test her for this now. Brian and I are kinda ticked off at his side of the family right now. We've been asking them for the last 6-plus months is there were any growth issues that we needed to know about and they just now tell us. Oh well, better late than never!

Good News!!

Today I took Lorelei to the doctor since she was in so much pain last night with stomach cramps (she's got a little stomach virus). The good thing is that since she has thrown up a few times, she's feeling a lot better. Anyway, since I was there I decided to go ahead and have her weight checked again. 18 pounds and 11 ounces!!! That's almost an entire pound weight gain in one month and here's the really good part.......(drum roll, please!) she's back on the growth chart!!! She's officially in the 5th percentile for her age.
We are still working with the endocrinologist now that she has been "officially" diagnosed with osteopenia. We see him again in May for more blood work and to discuss her having the bone density scan. We'll keep everyone updated about it.
Houston is....well...Houston is Houston. Right now he can't wait for it to get warm enough for the wading pool. Last year that happened in April, the way the weather is down here looks like it'll be the same. Houston is excited abou the new baby. He was kissing the ultrasound picture yesterday.
I saw my Ob yesterday and he is giving me a due date of October 22.

Kitchen Dwellers

It's so funny watching the kids play! Especially when I notice the things they do different from eachother. Lorelei was in the kitchen with me this morning and she loves to open and close the cubbard doors. Never really ever messes with the stuff inside them, just like to open and shut the doors. When Houston was that age he would open a cubbard door and proceed to taken everthing out and play with all the stuff he found. I don't know if this is a boy versus girl thing, or just my two kids being two crazy nutballs some days. It'll be interesting to see how this next one plays in the kitchen! (Oh yeah....I just realized I never put this down yet....WE'RE PREGNANT....AGAIN!, baby set to arrive mid-Oct)
